Raced entire life - motorcycles and cars. Chose the 1941 Willys for the look and light weight. Owned a garage and machine shop. Built and worked on all types of engines, including engines for race boats.

I've been married for 65 years to Ruth Garrett Cromer. I have 2 daughters, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson.

Original crew member from 1965 is still with me today - Melvin Craft.

Original owner and driver since 1965. Ran throughout the Southeast in A/Gas. Car originally built by owner (Gene Cromer). Rebuilt and restored in 2013 by Quain Stott and friends.  Also ran a Mustang Funny Car during same time frame.

Inducted into the East Coast Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2014. Also featured in Rodders Journal #63.
